Who We Are
We're a team of creatives with a long history of involvement in Tupper Lake arts. We were inspired to start Tupper Lake's very own Summer Musical Theatre Program for Teens after seeing and experiencing its supremely positive impact in neighboring towns!
Elizabeth Cordes
Elizabeth Cordes, choral director at Tupper Lake Middle/High School (TLMHS) since 2006, is an experienced musical-theater director, having worked with singers from elementary age through adult in both professional and non-professional settings. She was one of the founding directors for the well-established Camp Pendragon, a summer musical-theater program for teens in Saranac Lake, and has served as music director for more than 50 productions with Pendragon, the Red and Black Players of TLMHS, the Adirondack Lakes Theatre Festival, and numerous other organizations.
Danielle LaMere
Danielle LaMere has been participating in theater in the Adirondacks in one form or another since 2005. Beginning as a performer in grade school Danielle then pursued a degree in Childhood Education and Theater from SUNY Potsdam. Her goal was to work in and/or develop theater programs for children and teens.
While at Potsdam Danielle stage managed one act plays as part of the One Act Play festival and was one of the directors of the Ten Minute Play Festival in the fall of 2015. She was also the assistant director and stage manager of Camp Pendragon in the summers of 2014 (Little Shop of Horrors), 2015 (Pippin), 2016 (Rags) and 2017 (James and the Giant Peach).
After graduating from SUNY Potsdam, Danielle began her teaching career at LP Quinn Elementary school where she quickly began assistant directing the Middle/High school plays and musicals in the district. Here she has helped to produce Footloose, Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Seussical the Musical.
In 2021 Danielle took over the 4th and 5th grade Theatre Club program at LP Quinn. As part of this program she directed We are Monsters in 2021 and 101 Dalmatians Kids in 2022.
